Hemp Fact: 125 years ago, 70 to 90 percent of all rope, twine, cordage, ship sails, canvas, fiber, cloth, etc., was made out of hemp fiber. It was replaced by Dupont’s newly discovered petrochemical fiber (nylon) beginning in 1937.
